bio - part one

born 1979 utah

i label my own generation as 'generation gap' because i do not identify with the preceding (x) or succeeding (millz) generations. i am often writing a book with working title 'generation gap', which is of course a dystopian novel. it takes place long after the 2nd (or maybe 3rd) terraforming of earth as humanity's 'no other choice' dooms day process of replenishing earths resources over the course of several million years after the 'daughter of all bombs' d.o.a.b. is detonated. in this process, key life forming biology is safely shielded and is released into an evolution of life when the earth is finally primed to accept and nourish flourishing biological life.. and yes, there's dinosaurs.

raised in an anti-art household within the cult of mormonism, my parents would freak out if they found out i identify myself as an artist. i have had no professional art training. self-taught by experience, youtube videos and community. anti-social to the max. i despise social media and i understand that is bad when it comes to networking and fanbase etc. but my fanbase is myself. i don't make anything for anyone but myself. i'm am not for hire.

i wanted to be a filmmaker ever since i was a teen and i even wrote and made more than a few with camcorders. later, i made one with a real script i wrote with a bunch of friends and i had a screening for it and everything. it was fun. and i hated it. around 2007, me and my friend/roommate BW found i had an old hand held microcassette recorder buried in my closet, i think it was one of my older sister's they used at college. after quickly discovering the magic of recordings through this device, BW and i spent whole afternoons composing and recording music, editing in real time. there are so many 'best day of my life'(s) i've had and can remember vividly. I had a bunch of those days with BW back then, i'm so happy we captured ourselves. we named the tape recorder satan's joystick.

BANDAGES BLOG TIME post #3 10/30/2024

I think i'm figuring out this shitty website shit.. At least i've made a couple recent updates to pages, including a way to order some things. Next up is Archive!

I have been consolidating my hard drives and i'm hoping to get an archive going that starts from the beginning of the 'Bandages' era of ideas (i'm currently in the 2nd or 3rd wave of Bandages, and if you haven't already checked out my old blogs, linked in the last blog post, you should be able to see that crap here soon.) Throwback picture below. Enjoy!

Also, currently working on getting Bandages Chapter Two organized and drawn. i'm hoping to have that one printed by early 2025.

A deal with the devil (sometime in 2006 or 2007)

There was a moment in time when my mind changed. i stopped saying things like 'i'm going to make a movie about this' or 'my song would sound like this' and just got out my tape recorder and started bashing out a song or 10 in an afternoon. or would get my video camera and actually make movies. These polaroids represent that moment in time. This is me (on the right) before i got my bandages. and my buddy/collaborator on many projects (on the left).

In the beginning...

First off, i do everything myself unless otherwise noted (like a collaboration). So this website is me figuring out how to do a website and how i want my website to look, which means it might look great one day and shitty the next.

Ok. i've been doing bandages stuff for a long time now, and old blogs are still available here https://fighttv.blogspot.com/ & here https://imightbedying.blogspot.com/ Blog posts have original time stamps, just in case you want to fact check shit. My goal is to use those blogs, my memory and my archived media to re-document from the beginning until the present (and future!) of BANDAGES. enjoy!!
